The BSF 143 battalion sleuths under the leadership of Commanding Officer, P.K. Rathore have recovered 2 kg heroin from DT Mal post at the international Indo-Pak border. The value of the heroin is estimated to be Rs. 10 crore in the international market.
Giving this information, Commanding Officer Rathore said, the team of BSF Ferozepur got secret information that a consignment by Pakistan smugglers could be smuggled across the border.
He further said, today morning with the help of dog squad, the jawans of BSF 13 battalion started the search operation and at about 12.10 pm BSF got success in recovering 2 kg heroine in the DT Mal BOP area at Burji No.194/4 where it was concealed under thick growth of elephant grass.
He further said, the heroin was sent by the Pakistan smugglers and BSF is investigating into the matter as to whom the delivery of this consignment was to be taken, and where it was to be passed on. On this occasion, CO P.K. Rathore and others were present.
