During the last 12 years, BSNL has introduced several new services in the country like Internet in the year 2000, 2G mobile in the year 2002, broadband services in the year 2005, 3G mobile services in the year 2010, enterprise services including managed services in the year 2010 and Wi-max (4G) mobile broadband services in the year 2011.
To mark the foundation day, which is also celebrated as BSNL Day across the country, the company announced many schemes for its customers with effect from today itself. “On the occasion of BSNL day attractive offers have been launched which shall immensely benefit our valued customers who have rightfully been with us in spite of a fiercely competitive mobile market. We offer quality service and some unique products which is an excellent value for money”, said RK Upadhyay, CMD, BSNL in a statement.
The company has inroduced promotional offer of 20% extra usage on TopUp Vouchers of Rs. 200, Rs.500, Rs.1000 and Rs.6000 under prepaid GSM services for a period of 7 days. Twenty percent of special discount is being given on sale price of 7.2 Mbps 3G data card.
The state-run company also announced the launch of special 3G data packs for students and youths. This scheme will be effective from 1st October 2012 and remain open for a period of 90 days from the date of launch of this scheme.
“BSNL is the only mobile operator in the country to offer a data plan meant exclusively for the youth and students of the country. BSNL is offering 1500MB of data at Rs. 120 and 7000 MB of data at Rs. 599 for the youth and students which has certain night usage stipulation” said Mr. Upadhyay.
For its CDMA customers BSNL has offered two plans for unlimited calls on local and STD to any network. It is hoped that the CDMA customers of BSNL shall avail the same. BSNL is offering unlimited local calls to any network at Rs. 650 and unlimited STD calls to any network at Rs 850. These are promotional offers for a period of 30 days.
On the occassion of BSNL day, the company also announced reverse bundling arrangements with its new partners Terracom and Fitech with an aim to offer affordable tablet PCs for students and commoners.
BSNL has offered an attractive scheme for the customers of Penta T-Pads. On purchase of Penta T-Pad 703C at Rs. 7499, the customer will get one BSNL data card free worth Rs. 1600/- along with 3 months rental free (worth Rs. 1500) on the post paid plan of rental of Rs. 500/-. In this plan the customer will get 4GB of data free every month.
For the first time in its history, the state-run company is planning to announce loyalty programme for its landline and broadband customers. The company has proposed that redemption of points by the customers should be totally hassle-free.
BSNL is planning to issue a single bill to corporate customers by electronic stapling bills. The operator is also planning to provide the facility of post-paid bill payment through BSNL retailers to make bill payment more comfortable for every customer. This scheme is likely to be available from November 2012 onwards.
