Bull run fiesta begins in Spain

People wait eagerly each year for the bull run festival and they feel a certain pride in it as it is famous worldwide. The Pamplona bull run is the largest in the world and is attended by people all around the globe.

Well, in the movie, it had a significance for the actors as if they could outrun the bulls they thought they could outrun the difficulties in their life. For them it was symbolic but for the people participating in the festival of Pamplona in Spain, it is a celebration of life.

All decked in white and carrying a red handkerchief, the famous bull run festival is participated by people from all over the world. While for the Spanish people it is a way of life and an annual affair, for others it is a spectacle in which they want to participate in. Every year, it happens from July 6 to July 14 and the Pamplona fiesta is the biggest bull run festival of the world. While people participating in this festival have to run along the bull, they cannot drink or incite the animals in any way. For the not-so-adventurous people, they telecast the whole affair on two national television so that they can watch it in the safety of their home with a chilled beer for company.

Talking to AFP, a Spanish citizen said, “The celebration is a matter of pride and joy for us. It is a matter of great pride that we are here and for people who watch it elsewhere as it is the best. The spirit of the people and the festival is what is infectious.” Another man decked in the customary white and red clothes said, “Everyone is dressed in red and white and the atmosphere is very good.” As one would notice in the video, the energy level is palpable and huge white and red balloons are bounced off as people are also carried on shoulders and thrown on top of each other- all in good fun.
