Burger King fires employees for stepping on people's food
The American global burger brand Burger King faced a lot of people's ire when pictures of a man standing on a bin filled with lettuce made the rounds in Ohio. The quick thinking of a citizen caught the culprit, and has triggered outrage among people.

BURGER KING was in thick soup when an employee posted some pictures over the Internet that showed a person standing on a bin fulled with lettuce, and the picture was captioned, '‘This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King.’ The picture that was posted on the website 4chan.org in Ohio, and created a furore among people there - and more drama was added when a customer was able to nab the person who was responsible for the act. Burger King, which is an international brand, fired three people after the picture was made public and investigations were made.

The statement that was issued by the brand to the media did not confirm that the picture was taken at a restaurant in the Cleveland suburb of Mayfield Heights. However, a 4chan user took the GPS data of the picture and was able to pinpoint where it was taken.

Thanks to Internet and the prompt action of the person who nabbed the culprit within 15 minutes - other people, and more importantly customers, got to know about the incident, and soon the 4chan manhunt for the responsible person took place. Not only a manhunt but after getting confirmed news about the culprit, people wrote on the same 4chan.org site, “Enjoy getting fired,” while other wrote, “Just got off the phone with the manager,” as was reported in the Daily Mail website.

Burger King clarified that it won't tolerate the violation of such procedures, and for them the safe handling of the food was a priority. However, no mention of the circumstances in which the picture was taken, were revealed by the outlet.
