Cabinet lauds CM for 'Atal School Uniform Scheme', reduction in cement prices
Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, placed its appreciation on record for launching 'Atal School Uniform Scheme' to provide two sets of school uniform to 10 lakh students.

HIMACHAL PRADESH Cabinet, which met in Shimla on Friday under the Chairmanship of Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, placed its appreciation on record for launching ‘Atal School Uniform Scheme’ to provide two sets of school uniform to all 10 lakh students of first to matric standard of Government Schools, free of cost, which would go a long way in bridging the gap between the rich and poor and bring about uniformity in all educational institutions. The Scheme would be of immense value to the students belonging to economically backward sections of the society.


Cabinet also placed its appreciation on record for Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal for pursuing the Cement Companies in the State, Associate Cements Company, Ambuja and Jaypee Cement, to reduce prices of 50 kg cement bag by record Rs. 25 per bag which is unprecedented and is a great relief to the common man who would now be able to carry on with their repair and construction activities more conveniently.


Cabinet also congratulated Jai Ram Thakur, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister on his 47th birthday and wished him a long and healthy life.
