Government officials in Russia banned Modern Warfare 2 in response to the Russian airport terror level. However, there is also strong anger in the country over how Modern Warfare 2 has portrayed the country.

MODERN WARFARE 2 has been banned by the Russian authorities despite the soaring sales across the world. Politicians in Britain also are contemplating action against the video game for showing extreme violence.

Government officials in Russia banned Modern Warfare 2 in response to the Russian airport terror level. However, there is also strong anger in the country over how Modern Warfare 2 has portrayed the country.

Infinity Ward, the developer of the game has also come under criticism for the ModernWarfare 2. Infinity is now planning to edit the game and submit it to Russian authorities to ensure that the ban is removed and MW 2 is restored.

Modern Warfare 2 shows Russia and America going to war as Russia is taken over by ultra nationalists. A number Russians have described the MW2 game as denigrating the image of their country. Gamers have also supported the ban on MW2.
