Calling it illegal, Pakistan rejects revoking of Article 370 by India which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir
The Government of Pakistan has reacted to the Indian government's repealing Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and decided that the state be bifurcated into two union territories, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Calling it the 'unilateral step by the Government of India' for changing  JK's  'disputed status, as enshrined in the United Nations Security Council resolutions', Pakistan  stated that this will never ever will be 'acceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan'.

A statement issued and reported on Pak media read that Pakistan strongly condemned and rejected the Indian Government's move in respect of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pak's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reported that their country would appeal to the United Nations along with mobilising support from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, other friendly countries and international human rights organisations for the cause of the 'people of Jammu and Kashmir for realisation of their inalienable right to self-determination'.
