Calypso celebrations back in style, from high fives to Gangnam dancing
The West Indian team were ecstatic as they reached the finals of the T20 World Cup. It was evident in the post match scenes where hugging one another and the high five celebrations were replaced by a wild Gangnam style of dance celebration.

WEST INDIES cricketers are loved around the world for their lighter and positive personal style - both on and off the field - and even when the chips are down. Most of these cricketers are seen flashing their teeth when the camera turns to them even when they are fielding on the ground. Their way of celebrating victories and wickets have seen some changes over the years. Initially, they were satisfied with high powered high-5s with a touch of aggression. But the present West Indies team has defied victory celebrations and taken it to another level with their Gangnam style (dancing moves), which in fact is a song sung by a South Koream Rapper PSY.

After the West Indies team reached the finals of the T20 World Cup defeating Australia, there were some joyous and wild celebrations by the West Indies players, who are known for their 'party animal' instinct. They danced in the middle of the ground with the Australian batsmen looking to shake their hands before they could head off to the dugout and hide their face after their embarrassing defeat.

But, it was the Gangnam style of dancing, which caught everyone's attention. They were somewhat in a circle and displayed the moves, which the commentators and the entire public also enjoyed. Almost the entire team was dancing and to one's surprise, it was the two well-built big men of West Indies cricket, Pollard and Gayle who were moving their body along with their hands in a typical Gangnam style. The best moves of the day came from Bravo and Russell, but it was the big left hander who seemed to enjoy the dance more than anyone else.

When he walked away to the dug out as well, one could make out the energy that Gayle still had with him. He was showing those dancing moves with his hands only and the cameraman at hand did a wonderful job of keeping him in central focus, as they did during the match as well. Gayle was the man in focus on and off the field.

Now the West Indies team have set their sights on winning the T20 World Cup, which would be the icing on the cake. If they succeed, it would not be surprising to see the West Indies team turning the playing ground into a party floor.
