Can women ever build muscles?
Strength training is an important component of overall health and fitness for men and women, alike. Usually women think that strength training develops muscles like men, but its a myth. Women can never build large muscles like men because they have low levels of testosterone compared to men.

ACCORDING TO studies conducted by the American Council on Exercise, many women avoid weight training for fear of developing large, defined muscles like those achieved by male bodybuilders. But contrary to this a regular strength training regimen by women helps them to burn the fat layer called adipose tissue, which is located between the muscle and the skin so it will help to reduce body fat and the body will burn calories more efficiently and helps in toning up.

If women participate in regular weight training, then it will increase the metabolic activity of the body and due to this the adipose tissue so called fat layer becomes thinner and you will find that the muscles are getting toned up.

Most of the Indian women are hyper flexible and are at a risk of getting osteoporosis. To avoid these problems and strengthen themselves, doing proper amount of strengthening exercise is needed. There are some more benefits associated with this strengthening exercise such as improvement in blood cholesterol levels, as lifting weights can control blood pressure and blood sugar, less risk of injury during other activities, improved self-esteem and self-confidence,  reduced arthritis pain, lower-back pain and weight loss, according to indiaintaracts.
