Canada Day 2010: Vancouver fireworks celebrations
The carnival will begin with more than 50 parade entries which will represent the country's rich heritage mixed with its Irish, Celtic, bhangra and Samba flavours. The parade will begin at 7:00 PM and will continue for an hour.
ONE OF the biggest cities in Canada, which undoubtedly holds the best extravaganza on the Canada Day, Vancouver this year is once again ready to charm the people. This year's venue for Canada Day celebration will be Cloverdale Millenium Amphitheatre which will feature unlimited fun, food and rides.
The carnival will begin with more than 50 parade entries which will represent the country's rich heritage mixed with its Irish, Celtic, bhangra and Samba flavours. The parade will begin at 7:00 PM and will continue for an hour. The event in Vancouver begins at 10:00 AM and closes at 10:30 PM with the fireworks. This year's sponsor will be HSBC and 2010 will be Vancouver will be holding this event for the 20th time in last twenty years. The fireworks and pyrotechnics have been arranged on the English Bay.Talking in light of the 20th year of celebrations in Vancouver, Mayor Gregor Robertson said, “ I'm extremely pleased that the 20th annual Celebration of Light will go ahead this year. The fireworks have become one of Vancouver's most beloved summer events, and something that families really look forward to. I'd like to thank the community for its unwavering support and the sponsors for their continued commitment”.
