New Delhi: Cathay Pacific Airways’ CX Mobile application is now available on BlackBerry and Windows Mobile, with support for the latest Nokia and Sony Ericsson devices, taking a leadership stance in offering mobile services to users of smart phones. Most other airlines offer this mobile application only on iPhones. The recently launched application is already proved a big hit with other users.

The launch of CX Mobile application means that more customers will be able to take advantage of smart phone capabilities to check flight arrivals and departures, check-in for their flights, read about the place they are flying to using “City Guides”, and access all mobile services at m.cathaypacific.com from the convenience of their own mobile devices.

One new feature on the application, currently available for iPhone users only, enables passengers to access the “Meet the Team” function, which gives profiles and pictures of the Cathay Pacific team that helps to deliver the kind of service that led to it being named “Airline of the Year 2009” in the latest Skytrax survey. “Meet the Team” has been very popular since it launched on the airline’s main website and now iPhone users can find out all about what makes the Cathay Pacific service team tick, and even select their favourite picture for the phone’s wallpaper.
