CBI asks records of various records
The CBI investigation in Emaar-Jagan's case is taking place at top speed, as the CBI is pleading the Chief Secretary to extend help to get the information from various departments.
THE CENTRAL Bureau of Investigation (CBI) intends to tighten its rope around some tarnished ministers and IAS officials in Emaar and Jagan’s disproportionate assets cases. CBI's joint director VV Laxminarayanana met the Chief Secretary SV Prasad regarding this at the State Secretariat here (Hyderabad) on Tuesday and handed over a letter seeking the help of the government to record the statements of some of them as well as some records.
To unearth the information particularly pertaining to the involvement of all concerned in the EMAAR-APICC deal. Everybody knows that this deal has resulted in a huge loss to the state's exchequer. So far, 74 persons have been named in its FIR. It is known that the Chief Secretary has been requested by the CBI that departments of Revenue, Information Technology, APIIC, Mines, Industries, Major Irrigation, Municipal Administration and Commercial Taxes should co-operate with the CBI to bring out the facts.
Some cabinet ministers and IAS officers of YS Rajasekhara Reddy cabinet were involved in illegal land allotments to business partners of YS JaganMohana Reddy on a quid pro quo basis. The land allotments gave a big monetary loss to state government.Home Minister P Sabitha Reddy and Balineni Srivasulu Reddy (now with Jagan's camp) held the portfolio of mines, Dharmana Prasasda Rao, now Roads and Buildings minister was the Revenue Minister when YSR was at his height of power. Both Geetha Reddy and Kanna Laxminarayana handled the industries portfolio APCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana also held .The then irrigation minister Ponnala Lakshmiah (now endowments and IT minister) has reportedly played a part in the irregularities in the Jalayagnam projects .null
