CBI to question former Satyam chairman Raju today
The former Satyam chairman was discharged from Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday, where he was being treated for Hepatitis C. Raju is most likely to be issued a notice to appear before the CBI for questioning.
FORMER SATYAM chairman and prime accused in the Satyam financial scam, B Ramalinga Raju is most likely to be questioned in connection with his wheeling dealings by the CBI today. Raju had earlier managed to evade the investigators after he claimed that he was ill and not medically fit.
 
The former Satyam chairman was discharged from Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday, where he was being treated for Hepatitis C. Raju is most likely to be issued a notice to appear before the CBI for questioning, earlier, he had reported to the Investigating Officer on Sunday.
 
On October 1, a notice was also issued by the Supreme court to Raju regarding the cancellation of his bail on a petition filed by the CBI. He has been granted bail by the Andhra High Court on October 1.
 
Raju has been charged under section 120, section 409, section 420, section 468 and section 471 of the Indian Penal Code. The former Satyam chairman had confessed to major financial irregularities in the company in January 2009 and resigned thereafter.
 
He was arrested along with his brother Rama Raju in January 2009 along with top company officials and auditors, who hobnobbed with him in the alleged scam.
