CBSE Class X results out; the long wait finally ends!
Amid all the controversies that CBSE has seen through the past couple of weeks, the worst sufferers were the students.

Recently, the 12th class students had been under the grip of fear as their results got delayed because of the hide-and-seek that the CBSE played with regards to the marks moderation policy which also resulted in some discrepancies in their markings.

With the 10th standard board exams also, this year there were a lot of apprehensions. The reason being that the students were given a choice whether to opt for the boards in their 10th or appear for school-based exams. Some students opted for the boards while some didn't. A total of 1667969 students appeared for the 10th standard examination, out of which 781463 appeared for the school-based exam, while the rest stuck with the conventional board exams.

Nonetheless, cutting the long story short, the point remains that there were a lot of reforms bought in that created a lot of headache for the CBSE officials as well as for the students. The 10th standard students, however, had to wait the most for their result to be announced. Finally, the wait was over today, and their results were announced.

Results from Chennai, Allahabad, Dehradun, Delhi and Trivandrum regions have been uploaded on the websites. However, the results of other regions are in the process of being uploaded, the board said.

The pass percentage of students has overall dipped by 5 per cent as compared to what the students had achieved last year. The pass percentage of Trivandrum remained the highest at 99.86 per cent. Students can check the results online at www.results.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in
