Celebrities from Indian film industry at Modi's swearing-in ceremony
Celebrities from Indian film industry like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, Salman Khan, Lata Mangeshkar, Rekha, Anupam Kher, Javed Akthar and Sachin Tendulkar are likely to attend Modi's swearing in ceremony. According to the reports, Prime Minister elect Narendra Modi's team has reportedly invited these mega-stars to this ceremony.
Almost all the invited celebrities had
some personal connection with Narendra Modi. While Amitabh Bachchan
was the face of Gujarat
tourism, Lata Mangeshkar had in January this
year blessed Modi in Mumbai
and wished him all success in his
endeavors. Bad boy Salman Khan met Modi in Ahmedabad
during the kite
flying festival and Salman's father, veteran Bollywood story-writer
Salim Khan has been a strong follower of Modi.
Modi had gone to meet Rajnikanth at his
residence during the public meeting in Chennai. And the superstar has
later congratulated Modi for BJP's landslide victory in Lok Sabha
elections. The evergreen actress Rekha is also likely to travel to
the National Capital for the ceremony.
Javed Akthar, a poet, lyricist and
scriptwriter on his way to Delhi said, ''I am going to attend the
function in Delhi. The Modi's Cabinet is a big suspense, so I am also
eagerly waiting for it.''
Anupam Kher, an actor said, ''It's a
historic day, a day of change and a day of hope. Narendra Modiji has
brought the whole nation here. Its not only Modi's victory but the
victory of the citizens of India. He had shown a positive forecast by
calling the SAARC leaders, and shows a beginning to a new era,” as
was reported by ANI.
