Censure motion against Anna has turned democracy toothless
For years, common man has been suppressed by corrupt and unruly politicians but now when he has stood up, demanding his rights through social media and by supporting Anna Hazare, the government has find mean tactics to deny him the rights - All the politicians, cutting across party lines are demanding ban of social media and censure motion against Team Anna.

ONCE AGAIN Team Anna can be seen standing tall against government but this time MPs are in no mood to let them go so easily. They passed the censure motion, if adopted and voted in favour by a majority in the House, it would mean that Team Anna members would be criticised but won't be called to the House unlike under a privilege motion.

It's really surprising that ministers are turning democracy toothless. It is well known that these ministers use different remarks and derogatory words against each other during election campaigns, even the most recent one is during UP elections but no one raised questions in the Parliament. If someone is fighting hard to get Lokpal and whistleblower bill passed for better tomorrow selflessly still these MPs target him.

Repeated scams and corruption by them are compelling people to be another Pan Singh Tomar, it's even more surprising that instead of passing strong bill or discussing different issues in the Parliament, MPs are busy on the subject, which hardly matters. They should be following their duties, for which they have been elected by the populace.

MPs have to understand that banning social networks or passing censure motion against team Anna won't hide their wrongdoings or give a safe side to corrupt MPs or MLAs, they have to understand that common people don't use derogatory words against  Anna, Baba Ramdev or any celebrity or social icons because they are not elected by them to serve nation. When these ministers don't work as per their promises, there is only one place to reveal their anger that is through social sites as no other platform has been provided – now that too may face ban.

Thousands of people are silently supporting Team Anna through social sites, as they are now fed up with their elected ministers. They firmly believe that the scams can be stopped and black money can be brought back to India but this is making government and the ministers uncomfortable, using each and every word spoken by Anna against them as their shield or a passage to escape from other issues.

During elections, people don't have a choice whom to vote as every other candidate is corrupt or has criminal charges but if the bill like Lokpal or whistleblower can be brought in, then the ministers with black collar could be turned to white. The best way to understand what common people want or whether the bill should be passed or not, government should reach to masses and literally conduct a vote as govt is for the people, by the people, and of the people. Why exclude them from such important decisions when you are not able to bring in a single reform for common people?
