Champions League T20
Champions League T20 Preview: Kings XI Punjab Vs Hobart Hurricanes
Kings XI Punjab excited Indian cricket fans to the hilt by playing some entertaining cricket, primarily their batsmen in the last edition of the IPL. The same kind of fireworks would be expected from the IPL 2014 runners up, when they take on Hobart Hurricanes.

No doubt, once again Punjab would look upon their batsmen to help them cross the finishing line. They would expect Miller, Sehwag and Maxwell to come up with a big score if they get to bat first or chase down any target, in case they bat second. In fact, the team to a great extent depends on the services of Maxwell, who exploded in IPL 2014, scoring runs for fun at an alarming striking rate.

The Australian side, Hobart Hurricanes must be aware of Maxwell, as he is a fellow Australian, so they must have done their homework well enough to contain and dismiss the batsmen. Else, it might be a long day for Hurricanes. But, it is not going to be a cakewalk for the Punjab batsmen as well, as Hurricanes have a decent bowling up, comprising of Doug Bollinger, Ben Hilfenhaus and Xavier Doherty.

Punjab cannot take Hobart easily as well for the team has entered the competition after finishing runners up in the Big Bash, which is very competitive, on the same level of IPL. Hobart too, like Punjab have some attacking batsmen such as their skipper, Tim Paine, Aiden Blizzard, Travis Birt etc.

Though, the Punjab bowlers might not look so strong, and they have received a major setback after the Aussie paceman, Mitchell Johnson, who might have to sit out for the entire competition. Now, they would depend to a large extent on Balaji and Awana to take quick wickets.

The match is going to have some Australian flavour with a huge number of players in the Punjab line up being Australian as well, including skipper, George Bailey.

Both teams are making their debut in the Champions League T20 as well.
