Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are not divorcing, according to their attorneys Mark Burg and Yale Galanter. The lawyers in a joint statement said that the divorce reports were over-speculation. The duo may be re-examining their pre-nup agreement.
AFTER SEVERAL reports of Brooke Mueller, the wife of actor Charlie Sheen meeting attorneys and thinking of filing her divorce papers, the latest news is that neither are going to file for divorce now. This was confirmed by their attorneys in a joint statement on Monday.
The lawyers, Mark Burg and Yale Galanter said, "Since the December 25 incident involving Charlie and Brooke Sheen, the couple have been going through their marital trials and tribulations, and have been the subject of enormous speculation in the media. Over-speculation, if there is such a word, would be accurate."
They added, "Please let us clarify: They are not seeking a divorce nor has one been contemplated. There has been no financial agreements between the parties of any sort. Stories to the contrary are false. The couple asks that their privacy be respected at this time."
Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have not given any comments on either the divorce rumours or the current statements. Earlier in the day, Stan Rosenfield, publicist for Charlie Sheen had stated that a report from Radar, which claimed that the two had reached a secret divorce deal, was not true.
Meanwhile, Rosenfield did say that the attorneys were drafting a new financial agreement. He said, "They are amending the prenup and that is part of the legal process."
