Chelsea Football Transfers: Drogba back to Chelsea?
Didier Drogba has been one one of greatest Chelsea strikers scoring 157 goals, but he could soon add to that tally of goals, as the Ivory Coast striker is expected to make a sensational return to Chelsea. The player quit Chelsea and joined Shanghai Shenhua for one season and later joined Galatasaray, where he scored twenty goals in two seasons.
As per a number of French reports, Didier Drogba could well be brought by Chelsea in a one year deal, after which he could join the coaching staff. After having agreed in terms with Costa, the blues could do well to sign Drogba, who still instills fear amongst defenders. His sheer strength and pace is what the Chelsea team lacked last season and they could use this to their advantage and go for the EPL title.

Though, the player is past his prime, but still has the potential to score a minimum of 10 goals per season. With players such as Samuel Etoo and Demba Ba offloaded by the blues, they are in the market for a good striker, who can not only add depth to the team, but also quality. Didier Drogba is an answer to their solution, and add to it, Mourinho's liking towards Drogba, the deal seems to be happening.

Currently, Drogba is a free agent and there are a number of clubs, which would be eager to sign the powerful striker, but Chelsea seems to be favourite. His signing could mean a potent attacking force in world football, comprising of Costa, Drogba, Torres and Lukaku. Who will Mourinho sit out?

Chelsea fans would be excited about the prospect of having their former talismanic striker back into the fore, for he has proved to be a huge game changer and a match winner as well. He has the killer instinct of a striker, which their striker, Torres, Ba and Etoo lacked last season.
