Chemistry can't be created between actors, feels Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone, mostly in news for her affairs with co-stars like Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh, feels that the on screen chemistry can't be created. Talking to a leading daily about the equations she shares with her co-stars she says, 'It's different with each co-star.'

Padukone has worked with hotshots in Bollywood like Akshay kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan and Imran Khan.

After working with so many hotshots, she says, “There ought to be a certain comfort level with your co-star, otherwise there's no chemistry on screen. The audience can see through that. Personally too, I enjoy working with people who I can be comfortable with.”

Though Padukone refuses to name any co-star she shares great chemistry with, but she insists that it just can't be created. “Luckily for me, in most of my films the chemistry has all been on paper, that just got translated well onscreen,” she says. When asked about her chemistry with Ranbir, the actress openly says, “He shares a certain comfort, which makes it all the more fun working with him.”

For an actor who has been enjoying a release every six months ever since her 2007 debut (in Om Shanti Om), Deepika goes on to speak like a veteran actor. “A lot of what is being attributed as chemistry should instead be looked at rather differently because there is so much which depends upon the moments created by the team of the writer and the director,” Deepika tells ANI followed by a smile.
