Chevrolet Beat: Ready to be launched on Indian roads
General Motor's Chevrolet Beat price range is from Rs 3.5 to 5 lakhs and it will be available in both petrol and diesel versions. The average is expected to be between 14 kmpl on city roads and 18 kmpl on highways.
GENERAL MOTORS is all set to launch its much awaited small car model Chevrolet Beat on January 4, a day before the start of Auto Expo 2010. Chevrolet Beat will put on display during Auto Expo 2010, which is going to start from January 5 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Chevrolet Beat will be available in both petrol and diesel version as a small segment car. The look of Beat will be Sporty and Stylish. Fuel consumption is expected to 14 kmpl in city and 18 kmpl in highway.

The petrol variants of Chevrolet Beat will be powered by the 1.2 L, 1199 cc MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection) petrol engine with five speed manual transmission gearbox and it produces 82bhp of maximum power.
While the diesel variants of Chevrolet Beat will be powered by the 1.0L, 936cc three cylinder diesel engine with five speed manual transmission gearbox and it produces 57bhp of maximum power. Chevrolet Beat expected safety features are ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution) that ensures car will never skid out of control in case of hard braking at slippery surface, Dual Front Airbags, Seatbelt warning indicator, Head restraints that counteract the risk of whiplash injury in front seat, 3 rear head restraints and ISOFIX child seat preparation.
Beat has five person seating capacity and sports a power steering. The car has dual tone dashboard, leather covered steering wheel, leather covered gear knob and adjustable comfortable and sporty seats. AC, remote central locking, power window, dash Integrated MP3 Player are the other features of Chevrolet Beat.
