Children Science Congress held in Kishtwar
National Council for Rural & Urban Development Society in collaboration with National Children Science Congress Department of Science & technology organised a project based Children Science competition for Distt. Kishtwar on 'Planet Earth'.
NATIONAL COUNCIL for Rural & Urban Development Society in Collaboration with National Children Science Congress Department of Science & technology organized a Distt. Level project based Children Science competition for Distt. Kishtwar on the theme “Planet Earth Our Home Explore, Share & Care” at District Institute of Education (DIET) Kishtwar. The programme was presided over by Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik, Distt. Social Welfare Officer Kishtwar and Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
 
After welcome address, Prof. (Dr.) Ashiq Hussain Academic Co-coordinator, National Children Science Congress who also carried the proceedings of the function elaborated the main theme as well the objectives of National children Sc. Congress. He added that the main aim of the NCSc is to inculcate a scientific temperament among the child Scientist and to make a platform available to the children to exhibit their creativity and innovativeness to solve a societal problem using the method of science.
 
Over fifty students participated in the programme which was adjudged by the panel of Judges J.A Kichloo Sr. Lect, Suresh Kumar Sen, Sr. Lecturer, M.A Zarger Principal HSS Warwan and Majid Kichloo, Lecturer, DIET, Kishtwar. The project of Sir Iqball Academy High School Kishtwar, Wisdom Tutorials and Govt. Girls Hr. sec. school Kishtwar were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and third respectively in the upper age group where as Furqan Academy secured the 1st position in the lower age group.
 
Dr. Sunil Gupta IPS and Dr Khalid Malik in their address encouraged the students for their value able efforts to highlight the local problems & thereby providing scientific methods as remedial measures. They also appreciated the efforts of NCUARDS, especially Prof. (Dr.) Ashiq Hussain to introduce such creative activities among the students.  Dr. Gupta offered his services round the clock to the students for guiding for various competitive Exams in addition to their own subjects. Dr. Malik Stressed & appealed teachers community to inculcate Moral values among the taughts. Others who were present on the occasion include Mehboob Qazi, President Teachear Welfare Association Kishtwar, G.Q Beg (DRG Member), Liquat Mir, S.A Sirwal (ZRP) ete. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr Ashiq Hussain.

congratulation... creativity of children needs to be explored and developed and continue to push it without limits....
