China rounds up doomsday rumour-mongers
Even in communist country like China, the doomsday rumours have spread in an alarming manner. Subsequently, the Chinese police have rounded up at least hundred people for spreading rumours about an impending apocalypse on December 21. The people belonging to the Almighty God Cult have been arrested and their propaganda material confiscated.

IT IS said that the cult founded in 1990, believes in a Mayan doomsday scenario and has been spreading the rumours that the sun will not shine for three days beginning from December 21 and electricity will get knocked down.

Suddenly, in China, the doomsday rumour has got circulated largely through the Internet. This includes the rumour of sighting of “three suns" over the sky in Shanghai a few days ago.

Earlier too, the members of this cult that operate underground were arrested and put into re-education camps. This time around, Chinese authorities seem to have become extra vigilant of apocalypse believers since they are seen as anti-communism.
