Chinese expert suggests breaking India into parts
A Chinese strategist expert in an article has suggested that India should be broken into 20 to 30 parts with the help of friendly nations. He also opines that India is not a natural nation but it is primarily united on the basis of Hindu religion.
A suggestion by a Chinese strategic expert that Beijing should work towards breaking India and divide it into 20-30 independent states is likely to cause immense concern in the the Indian strategic and security establishment.
The article by Zhan Lue published on the official website of a leading Chinese think-tank China International Institute for Strategic Studies (CIISS), says that a little action by Beijing could easily break the great Indian federation.
The article claims that India is a Hindu religious state, which suffers inherent caste frictions that could be taken advantage by the Chinese. Lue suggests that China should join forces with different nationalities including Tamils, Assamese and Kashmiris and help them in setting up independent states. The author particularly wants China to support ULFA in Assam, which is fighting for separating homeland. It also sets the agenda for setting up a separate Bengali state, which can unite the Bengalis to create one Bengali nation. The article claims that if India can be broken into 20-30 states like Europe then it is possible to have more social reforms and eradication of the caste system.

.Well India must be broken into several pieces but in a planned manner the area of Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, North West Maharashtra (districts of Nasik, Dhule, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Poona and Raigad also Thana including the city of Bombay), Western Madhaya Pradesh and South West U.P. must be given to Pakistan as in 1941 census they were muslim majority states and it was shown as hindu majority areas. Goa, The indian state of Pun jab to be Khalistan, Sikkim, Nagalanad, Mizoram, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam must be declared separate countries, Arunachal Pradesh and ladhakh must be given back to China, the gorkhaland area to be given to Nepal. . Kerala, Karanataka, Telangana (Andhra Pradaesh) and Tamil Nadu (Tamil Ealam ) must also be decalred independent nations. Islands of Laccadive(Lakshwadweep) to be given to Maldives and the islands of Andaman to be handed over to Burma and that of Nicobar to be given to Indonesia. This map will be in interest not only to China and Pakistan but also to toher communities in the region.
Pakistan should be balkanised in this way-Sindh and POK to join India,Balochistan to be declared as an Independent state,NWFP to be merged with Afghanistan and Punjub to be left alone.This will happen in just three years.
.Chinese are already helping ULFA and donot want a strong India. If Gandhiji didnot agree for partition, India could have been a much stronger and less vulnerable nation.
.well Chinese are yet to overcome their own problem... so let them first solve their problem instead of solving the problem of India.... Remember... Calling India sub-divided into parts and sub parts in the name of religion, caste, creeds etc etc, we should rather say its purely a corporate nation where we Indians have delegated the living standard... not like any other nation. So sub division leads to better control and better co-ordination and leads to better output socially. this thing if Chinese would impliment would give them lots of problem as they don't have the mind to impliment it.... but they can outsource this service to India, as we have lots of service oriented guys dedicatedly working at various BPO Units... Don't worry of Chinese... they are not able to tolerate Tibeit, Taiwan, Uighurs, Unemployment, and the are daily getting burried about the lies that they are speaking about their shallow economic growth
.the chinese fools are jealous and are afraid that india may take over them in economic development as these fools think that they can break india by encouraging its neighbours pak,bangladesh,nepal to fight us then china should be broken into more than 100 parts by encouraging china's more powerful neighbous russia,japan,south korea by india but the fact is that india respects its neighbours including china and its development and china even after knowing this they have always hated india and always been jealous i hope chinese government understands it and punish that dirty coward writer

It is very much easier to split India than they think, because todayâs India is very much fragile than pre-independence era, at that time British rulers had divided Indian society into two parts i.e. Hindu & Muslim but post-independence era, present rulers have divided Indian society into many parts i.e. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, ST, SC, OBC, General, Creamy layer OBC, Men, Women the list is endless. If British can take advantage of divide & rule policy & rule India for 200 years, when the Indian society was divided only into two parts, so Chinese can think how many years they/anyone can rule India when its society have been divided so badly. I think today most of the Indian people have become highly indifferent towards who rule them, so even Chinese can rule us an already divided society & I hope Chinese would be not as poor ruler as our present ruler are!!...................

.The readers seem to be missing the point. China has tremendous resources - around 2Tn$ and it is a powerful country. India is perceived to be a soft state, based on its actions since independence. It will not surprise Indians if there is a repeat performance of 1962. It doesn't matter what rhetoric the politicians create. Bottom line is that India should be prepared. Yet it is unable to even claim what is rightfully its own - huge parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
So can India prevent such an eventuality by China? I can only hope that India is prepared, but our history of the past 700 years has been terrible.

Even if the indian gov by itself decides to split up into 26 different countries it would see a huge amount of protest from its citizens
About 8% of all indians make at least one trip to various other states to visit family, friends, different relegious places, holidays etc,
If the country is split up into many other states then travelling would become a million times harder for those without passports
One would be really amazed to see how many people in india do not have passports
If the chinese do make some crazy ultimatum such as this people from india would probably just laugh it away..........

.This is an undesirable and unfortunate suggestion from an intellectual of the northern neighbor of India. Union of India, of India which has been long been an ethnological museum, is not likely to be balkanised as it has appeared in the sweet will of one LUE that China has surprisingly produced. China may find it strategically needed for her hidden policy of expansion. To surround India with the handful of evil elements present in the Indian neighboring countries has been an age-old policy of China. But it is hopeless to underestimate the aspiration of the Indian people who have, despite thousands and one inconveniences, succeeded in holding high the flag of DEMOCRACY which i, yes, unfortunately,has not been granted to the great people of China. On the other hand, there are elements in the mainland China which have been active to cause erosion in the enforced unity therein. Is it, therefore, not better to oil in the machine of the owner by himself?
Lastly, balkanisation of the great Indian territory will not be beneficial to China which Prof Lue should essay to comprehend.
It is strange that there are men on the earth still who desire suffereings and loses of others though we have left history of thousands of years on our back. What will you gain, Mr. Lue, ferrying doctrine of division among mankind?
To prevent the UNDESIRABLE AND UNFORTUNATE eventuality is in the hands of New Delhi. Indians must recknon that the country can hold together only a true federation like EU. The entity with no more than 60 years of history will meet the fate of Yugoslavia or USSR (in less than 80 years) unless Indians dump delusions of lording over the region as a UNITARY superpower even as its people languish in abject poverty.
.Prof Lueâs observations are applicable to Pakistan too, where fault lines are even more visible. Of course, the history of âIndiaâ starts only after Europeans colonized the territory and integrated dozens of provinces as âBritish Indiaâ for their administrative convenience. An alternative to the balkanization visualized by Lue was suggested by leaders like Ambedkar and Jinnah who proposed separate electorates for Dalits and Muslims in undivided âIndiaâ. Power-hungry politicos scuttled it during negotiations for transfer of power. The British were all packed up and anxious to flee the no-more-profitable colony since WW-I anyway. So, Mountbatten had no qualms to succumb to MK Gandhi-led âfreedom fightersâ who forced an agonizing partition. Bangladesh as part of Pakistan was a fallacy from the beginning as it was separated by Indiaâs huge landmass . Being separated from India by Bangladeshâs landmass, ULFA and Nagas are advancing the same argument. Kashmir, again, was never an integral part of even British India, leave alone the 60-year-old India. The only way to avert the situation visualized by Lue is for New Delhi to realize that it can only be truly FEDERAL government and for elitist Indians to dump delusions of lording over the region as a UNITARY superpower.
