Chinese paratroopers storm island in a mock drill
In this mock display of the world's largest military force, soldiers supported by the reconnaissance troops, attacked helicopters and amphibious tanks. It was done in response to the mounting tension with Japan over disputed islands.

THE DISPUTED islands are controlled by Tokyo but are claimed by Taipei and Beijing. The situation became worse when the Japanese government recently bought them from their private owners. And now China is flaunting its military power and improving its paratroopers' ability to capture the disputed island.

One of the seven military groups of China held this joint military drill, that involved air force, artillery and infantry forces. The paratroopers were trained how to land on and capture an island. First the paratroopers were landed on the island who collected the information and based on the findings of these troops, the further move will be planned.

During the mock battle the commandos used a new computer system to get the accurate information of the enemy and make it available to every fighter on the ground in a split second. It took the combined forces about two hours to clear the island of enemies.
