Today the people of China came to blows with the Apple authorities when as promised the Apple i4S was not sold to them. Although this happened only in one place in Bejing, yet this left a bad taste among the people as they were waiting for their handsets.
IT IS a common practice in the United States to see people lined up in a queue to get their hands on their favourite product being offered at competitive cost. A similar kind of effect is always seen whenever Apple launches a product and the same happened in Bejing. People were seen lined up as early as 5:30 am for the stores to open up as Apple was about to launch the i4S handsets in Beijing's Sanlitun district.

The fury of the waiting crowd was evident as they waited in freezing temperatures for the handset and then got nothing. The store that was about to open at 7 am never pulled up their shutter and by 7:15 people started chanting Open the door!" and "Liars, after an announcement was made that said that the handset would not go for sale on Friday. The people further went to throw eggs on the store. The authorities there said that they pulled off the sale keeping in view the safety of the waiting people.
After this incident mainland China pulled away and postponed the sale day. The places other than Sanlitun, people were able to indulge themselves in their favourite apple’s product. In some places, like in Xidan, people who were buying two handsets were also given some gifts to go with the phone.
This is not the first time that something of the kind has happened and the Apple has faced the ire of the people. China, itself, has a history where some Apple product promised were not sold and finally the customers have come to blows with the authorities. In fact the same store faced a similar situation when in May iPad 2 was launched.
