Google's web browser, Chrome is all set to achieve a newer version as Chrome 6 is ready for release. There have been some demand from the users as well as developers but not all have made the cut for the latest version.

GOOGLE's WEB browser, Chrome, is all set to achieve a newer version as Chrome 6 is ready for release. There have been some demand from the users as well as developers but not all have made the cut for the latest version.

Chrome has captured a share of 7.2% in the browser market. In May 2010 the share was 7% and in June 2010 it climbed to 7.2%, a good growth for a month for a new browser. Chrome is surviving in the middle of stalwarts like Internet Explorer from Microsoft, Apple’s Safari, Opera, Mozilla’s Firefox etc.

Combining simplicity and style, Google’s web browser is a fast, secure and efficient one and that is the reason why it became so popular within short time span.

Chrome 6 adds some new features but misses some as well. The misses are due to the fact that they were unable to apply those features practically.

Google says that they believe in continuously updating the browser and so there is no problem if they missed out something. It added that the missed features will be added in the next update after they are sure of its working.

The new features in Chrome 6:

1.      Extension sync: the ability to synchronise all the extensions of a person from multiple computers. This will make sure that the extensions for one user at different machines are same.

2.      Bug fix to speed up display of some scalable vector graphics: This will make sure that older graphics which have the ability to change their size depending upon the browser size will be displayed faster now.

3.      A new menu button: It combines Chrome’s earlier two buttons, tool and page, into one single button.

4.      Browsing history sync: This will work across the browsers so that if you visit a web page once, it could be revisited much more easily next time.

5.      Background image resampling: This feature will speed up page rendering where resizing matters by taking better advantage of multicore processors.
