City of Sparks commends religious statesman Rajan Zed
City of Sparks, Nevada has commended distinguished religious statesman Rajan Zed for his commitment to interfaith community. A certificate of commendation signed by Mayor Geno R. Martini and carrying the City Seal, presented by Martini himself to Zed (who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism) at an interfaith clergy reception, accorded to Zed in Nevada recently, reads: 'I, GENO R. MARTINI, Mayor of the City of Sparks, Nevada, join with the City Council in commending Rajan Zed for his tireless commitment to the local and global interfaith community, and for creating harmony and understanding among the world's religions and people'.

It also lists Zed’s various achievements in religion, interfaith dialogue and other areas. Zed has taken up interfaith, religion, environment, Roma (Gypsies) and other causes all over the world. He has read opening prayers in United States Senate, various state senates and houses of representatives, counties and city councils all over USA.

He was invited by President of European Parliament in Brussels (Belgium) for a meeting to promote interfaith dialogue. Many cities in USA have named October 25 as “Rajan Zed Day”. Bestowed with “World Interfaith Leader Award”; Zed is Senior Fellow and Religious Advisor to New York headquartered Foundation for Religious Diplomacy, Spiritual Advisor to National Association of Interchurch & Interfaith Families, etc.

He prominently appeared in a recently released documentary on religion titled “Unresolvable?”.
