Cleverest child in the world has an IQ of 136
A British child Sherwyn Sarabi, from Barnsley in South Yorkshire who is just three years old is now the newest member of Mensa International with an IQ of 136. He can count up to 200, and also knows every country in the world with its matching flag.

The three years-old-tot is categorized as being included in the top 1 per cent of the most intelligent people in the world. The boy started to speak at the age of 10 months, and started speaking and talking in full sentences at the age of 20 months. When he was two years old, he could already read, count to 200, recognize and name countries, flags, planets in the solar system, parts of the body and internal organs.

Amanda Sarabi, Sherwyn's mother and a former teacher told International Business Times, “It's not like talking to a three-year-old. He doesn't even watch children's programs, he watches the news.” She also added that, the weather section of the news is his favorite, especially the world weather.

The parents first noticed their child's interest in learning at 18 months old but dismissed his intelligence as normal. But when other people pointed out his unusual cleverness, then the parents came to know about his intelligence. Now Sherwyn has joined the elite, high-IQ society Mensa which only has 100 members aged under 10 years old.

Mensa International, is a non-profit international organization for people with very high scores in IQ tests. It is the highest and the oldest high IQ society in the world, and is open to people who score 98th percentile or more in the standardizes and approved intelligence test. Mensa also has its own application exam. These exams are monitored by Mensa and do not provide a quantified score, they serve only to qualify a person for membership.

The mission of the organization is to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity, to encourage research into the nature, characteristics, and uses of intelligence and to provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for its members. The organization is also involved in bringing up gifted children with literacy and scholarship.
