Champions League T20
CLT20 Qualifiers: Mumbai Indians Vs Northern Knights
Though the T20 Champions League might only be in its qualifying phase, but still, there has already been plenty of excitement with the final day of qualifiers deciding teams, which would feature in the main group stages. Mumbai's entry into the main round hangs in balance and would depend on today's results. Mumbai play Knights while Lahore play Southern Express.

But, Mumbai is aware of the task in hand, as the Northern Knights have been the team to beat so far, as they have not lost a single game in the competition. They defeated both Lahore Lions and Southern Express in the qualifiers so far, while Mumbai suffered defeat on the hands of Lahore, but defeated Southern Express to give them a chance of qualifying for the group stages.

Things are quite simple for the Knights, as a victory against Mumbai Indians will help them reach the main round of the competition, but the story would be different for Mumbai. Mumbai would depend upon the results of other fixtures for them to progress.

If Southern Express defeat Lahore and Mumbai lose their game, it would depend upon the net run rate between the two teams – team with a better net run rate progresses into the next round. So, even if Mumbai loses, it becomes imperative for Mumbai not to lose the game in a big manner.

But, even if Mumbai defeat Knights and Lahore defeat Southern Express, it would once again boil down to the net run rate as both the teams would be tied on equal points. But, it is Mumbai advantage, as they would be aware of exactly what they need with Mumbai playing Knights prior to Lahore and Southern Express match.
