Earlier, the CBI has mentioned in the FIR, which is filed in the CoalGate Scamon the basis of CAG's report, the role of the "competentauthority" in the allocation of coal blocks without mentioningwho is the "competent authority".
TheFIR alleged that former coal secretary P C Parakh's proposal to allowHindalco to mine Talabira II, along with PSUs, Neyveli Lignite Corpand Mahandi Coalfields, was approved by the "competentauthority". Only after this, was the allocation letter wasissued.
Now,that the Prime Minister has admitted that he had approved thisproposal and there was no illegality in the matter, raised thequestion whether CBI is lying or the Prime Minister is lying. Thisneeds immediate clarification in a Court of Law.
Letthe Court decide who is telling a lie and let the country know allthe facts but for that the Prime Minister should in his own interestand in the interest of justice in consonance with the Constitution ofIndia, should resign and face CBI inquiry and then in a fast trackCourt, it may be decided quickly as to who is lying and who is theactual culprit, otherwise PM's hands would remain stained.
