Coffee House in Indian Panorama of IIWFF
Gurbir Garewal's 'Coffee House' has been selected as the closing film of Indian Panorama Male Voice section of fourth IIWFF being held in New Delhi from December 14 to 21. Sandeep Marwah, president of AAFT suggested the film to the festival
THE UNRELEASED film, Coffee House, directed by Gurbir Garewal and produced by Shivkala Motion Pictures in association with Marwah Studios, has been selected as the closing film of Indian Panorama Male Voice section of fourth India International Women Film Festival being held in New Delhi from December 14 to December 21, 2008, in different theatres. The festival is being organised by the International Women Film Festival Society of India under the chairmanship of Anita Roy Chowdhury in association with the ministry of information and broadcasting, ministry of culture, ministry of women and child welfare, government of India and Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts.

“The feature film Coffee House is a total entertainment while keeping social issues in mind,”said Sandeep Marwah, president, Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), who suggested the film to the festival. Festival director Shyamali Banerjee with screening committee approved the film as social entry to male voice section of Indian Panorama of IIWFF. “We have given our best to this film as we feel responsible towards our country as film makers,”said Gurbir Garewal, the director of the film whose last film Mannat in Punjabi was a super hit and most successful. Garewal has won many awards earlier on different occasions. “I may be the producer but my interest for writing songs for this film is my passion,” added Mahim Mittal who has produced the film along with Kishan Kumar. The starcast of the film includes Ashutosh Rana and TV queen Sakshi Tanwar. Music has been composed by Jaidev Kumar, cinematography by Sebestian and editing has been done by Omkar Nath Bhakri.
