Comic genius and actor Williams passes away at 63, death condoled widely
Famous Hollywood personality, Robin McLaurin Williams passed away today at an age of 63 years at his residence California. The exact cause of his death is not known yet.

As a performer, Williams was one of the finest American actors, successful stand-up comedian and splendid voice actor. He tried his hand at film producing and screen writing too.

He was acclaimed as a comic genius and had a huge fan following all over the world. Indian actors too were his admirers. Actor Kamal Haasan has likened Williams with Gurudutt while condoling his death. He along with wife was also involved in charity work.

"He was rich, talented, creative, hilarious, made us all smile. In Dead Poets Society and Good Will Hunting his sensitive portrayal of amazing characters inspired many-like me. It saddens me that someone who seemed to live a full creatively satisfying life allegedly ended his own life. RIP Robin Williams. Makes me wonder do we ever really know a person's heart or what they choose to show the world? We just accept what we see at face value because no one really shows what is really true, what people really feel and go through and that's tragic!," wrote scribe Simantini Lara Kishore on her Facebook.

Williams (1951?2014) enthralled audience and fans through his superb acting in the films like: The World According to Garp; Good Morning; Vietnam; Dead Poets Society; Awakenings The Fisher King; Good Will Hunting, etc. He had also performed in the video "Don't Worry, Be Happy", which was much appreciated.

The films produced successful films such as Popeye, Hook, Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, The Birdcage, and Night at the Museum, and Happy Feet. He received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards.
