Conan O Brien final salute - Tonight show finale
The Conan O Brien finale on Tonight Show was a must watch with Will Ferrell and wife Viveca Paulin rocking to free bird, apart from some bellyaching words from Conon O Brien himself.

COMEDIAN AND host of the Tonight Show Conan O Brien had more than just the last laugh, as NBC aired his finale episode for the show on Friday. The show which had Will Ferrell and his wife Viveca Paulin apart from Tom Hanks as episode guests turned into a ratings magnet, getting a 7.0 rating or a 16 share in 55 metered markets in USA, apart from getting a fond farewell from other late night show hosts.

The episode of Tonight Show saw Will Ferrell and his wife Viveca Paulin rock to free bird, apart from some crisp bellyaching remarks from Conon O Brien himself.

Talking about his exit from the show and future career prosoects, Conan O Brien said, "We’ve a had a lot of fun being here these last 7 months, but like everything in life, the fun has to come to an end a decade too early. The terms of my settlement say that I can’t host another show for 7 months. So next week look forward to the `Andy Richter Show’ with his sidekick, me!"

He went on to suggest many colourful uses for the studio which included a site of Tiger Woods’ 1st Annual Mistress Reunion, a fitting room for the Biggest Loser, a storage facility for apology notes to NBC stockholders, leaving it cold and empty and re-naming it “The World’s Largest Metaphor For NBC Programming” and even making it a panic room for Gary Busey after the rise of fire hydrants.

He ended the show after taking many shots against NBC, on a solemn note. He told the audience that in his 20 years on NBC, between Saturday Night Live, the Late Night show and The Tonight show, he considered the company his home. He talked
about how The Tonight Show had been a proud time in his career, thanking his multitude of audience and fans.

Other late night show host gave their own tributes to Conan O Brien. While Jimmy Fallon gace him a musical tribute along with the Roots, Jimmy Kimmel showed a re-edited clip from Jay Leno's acting career to make it look like Conan O Brien taking revenge.

David Letterman went on to include a number of Jay Leno jokes in his show, while Craig Ferguson who largely avoided the topic and took up a section on Mythbusters, related to NBC show philosophy.
