Congress advises Mani Shankar Aiyar to be careful, disassociates itself from his Paris attack statement
Indian National Congress disassociated itself from party leader Mani Shankar Aiyar's statement in the wake of the Paris terror attacks and also demanded an immediate removal of Uttar Pradesh minister, Azam Khan for his controversial remark.
The Congress' senior spokesperson Ajay Maken at the AICC briefing said that the party is not associating with Mani Shankar Aiyar's statement. Maken said, "He should make statements after careful consideration. In no way, you can justify... It was an inhuman action in which so many people have been killed," as reported by TOI.

Mani Shankar Aiyar, a senior Congress leader on Saturday reacted over the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris and said that, "The anti-Islam phobia that is being carried out in the western countries should be stopped immediately. The Muslims living in France should be provided with the assurance that they are also citizens of the country," as reported by TOI.

Maken also slammed UP minister Azam Khan for his remarks that the 'superpowers', and said that Khan gives himself "tough competition in making senseless remarks again and again".

He also demanded that Union minister V K Singh be removed from the council of ministers for his remarks over intolerance. "We want to ask Singh whether he considered the President, RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan or the Dalai Lama who have raised questions with regard to this atmosphere of intolerance as 'paid'?" said Maken.

V K Singh recently made a statement over intolerance in the country and said that 'the debate over intolerance is an unnecessary creation of imaginative minds being 'paid with a lot of money'.
