“Mr. Owaisi’s hate speech is not only provoking communal hatred, but also persuading the people to resort for a civil war like situation in the country,” Mr Reddy said. Though his unprovoked speeches, Mr. Reddy alleged that he attempted to insult the sentiments of more than 100 crores of Hindu population in the country and also to dismantle the basic structure of the constitution, by challenging the very concept of secularism.
CSHF alleged that the intelligence agencies of both the state and central governments have failed in reporting Mr. Owaisi’s “hate speeches” which were delivered in vastly attending public meetings in the presence of hundreds of police personnel. The government and the state police were silent till this was telecasted by a local TV channel, uploaded on YouTube and later exposed by a national TV Channel.
Even then, the chief Minister without giving any direction to the police simply stated it was the matter to be tackled by the police and later the DGP only said they will register cases. Though DGP told the media if need be he would take assistance of Interpol to arrest Mr. Owaisi, the police kept mum when the latter returned to Hyderabad from London.
Without attempting to arrest him at the airport itself, the police gave him a chance for mobilizing thousands of supporters at his house. The police, in fact, went to the house of Mr. Owaisi and pleaded him to come to the police station. “Though the medical team accompanying the police certified the MLA was fit health wise, against the police brought him to the Gandhi Hospital on the next day for medical tests,” Mr. Reddy said.
CSHF alleged that the entire scenario prevailed in the state reflecting that Chief Minister Mr. Kiran Kumar was in collusion with MIM leaders and allowing them to further intensify tensions through their provocative attitudes. It accused that the police system seems to have become collapsed and has surrendered before the feet of Owaisi brothers.
CSHF urged the Governor to dismiss Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy for the collapse of the administration and failure in taking appropriate action against Mr. Owaisi and also requested him to suspend DGP for remaining as silent spectator when the entire state was in the grip of fear and tension. It also asked the Governor to submit a detailed report to the Central Government with factual information on the alarming law and order situation prevailing in the state and collapse of the rule of law.
