State party leaders used to blame JB for the Congress losing ground. But now he is leaving active politics with his appointment as the Governor of Assam.
JANAKI BALLAV PATNAIK has been appointed the Governor of Assam. But unfortunately, despite his stature in Orissa politics it is not immediately impacting the state or even the Congress party.
Five years ago people believed both in and outside the party that the Congress couldn’t progress without JB Patnaik. There was talk then of keeping him out of the scenario but it did not happen. Things have only worsened for the Congress in Orissa.
State party leaders used to blame JB Patnaik for the Congress losing ground. But now he is leaving active politics. The party leadership now is hardly visible. KP Singhde just travels from Delhi to Orissa and back. Chandrasekhar Sahu is absent from party meetings, Lalatendu Bidyadhara is busy with Bani Vihar (student politics), and Bhaktacharan Dash confines himself to Kalahandi district.
It is time for the Congress High Command to look into state Congress affairs given the party’s standing in the political scenario.
According to sources, this is just the scenario for change in the party’s leadership. While Rahul Gandhi is looking at the future leadership in other states in Orissa nothing has been done.
But after JB’s rehabilitation as Governor the Congress may become be weaker in the coming days.
.Mr.J B Ptnaik was an outstandingly talented leader of Odisha Congress. Mr. Patnaik was only the national level leader of Congress from Odisha. Now he has been appointed the Governor of Assam. Some state party leaders blamed to Mr. J B Patnaik for getting self interest.Mr. Saumya Ranjan Patnaik should be the successor of Mr. J B Patnaik in Odisha Congress to revive the Congress Party in Odisha.Thanking you Sir.
.Mr. J B Patnaik is a prominent leader of Congress. Without Mr. J. B. Patnaik Congress in Orissa is too weak and that nobody can imagine. Without his consultation the Congress Party High Command cannot settle the Congress Party again in Orissa.
