Congress party plays 'hide and seek' on Telangana issue
It is very unfortunate to see that the Government of India is playing hide and seek with the people of Andhra Pradesh. Telugu people have lost all the patience as they feel cheated by the All India Congress Committee (AICC). Now, they want to teach the UPA government a lesson in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
Everybody hates the UPA government for its vote-bank politics regarding
Andhra Pradesh issue. It is the question of development, progress and prosperity of Telugu people - whether it is united or divided. Thanks to the selfishness of the Congress party and its leaders, nine crore people living in Telangana have lost their due share of development.
What is
Rahul Gandhi doing? The Congress says he would save the
India with his great vision. A leader who is said to be an icon of politics by the Congress just watches the ‘Tamasha’ going on in Andhra Pradesh. Sonia Gandhi, the chairperson of the UPA never talks about Andhra Pradesh. The rest of the artists like Ghulam Nabi Azad,
Vayalar Ravi and
Sushil Kumar Shinde talk whenever they like.
Being a responsible Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde should not have said that he would announce the decision in a month’s time. Already, P. Chidambaram has failed to keep his words. The Congress party itself is not in a position to say anything, but always seek the opinions of all political parties.
The Telangana agitation has been continuing for last 12 years. The Congress party, in the election manifestos, has always promised that will come up with a solution once they are elected to power. Even now they are in power but the issue is far from being resolved.
The issue will be settled only when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and all political party heads come together and discuss the issue threadbare.
