Congress thinking with a communal mindset on J&K
When our government listens to irrational and communally flared rhetoric of Kashmiri leaders, it gives a very wrong signal to the entire nation that our country is still open to divisions on communal basis.
AT the time of independence, there were 25% Hindus in Pakistan and 27 % in West Pakistan now known as Bangladesh. These Hindus had stayed back and made Pakistan their country. Today there are only 1% Hindus left in Pakistan and only 7% left in Bangladesh. No one is held responsible for these atrocities committed on Hindus across the state in a country where Hindus are in a majority. Why did not any one take into consideration the aspirations of the majority Hindus of undivided India or is it that only Muslims have birth right to ask for such concessions from all over the world. If Kashmir's accession to India happened in unique conditions then entire Pakistan came into existence in more unique circumstances of communal divide, a completely artificial and un-natural division of united India. When our government listens to irrational and communally flared rhetoric of Kashmir valley Muslims it gives a very wrong signal to the entire nation that our country is still open to divisions on communal basis. Has any one from Jammu cried for autonomy or freedom or self rule or Islamic Pakistan? Why are such elements being encouraged and supported and nourished by Congress in Kashmir valley? Knowing that there is not a semblance of individual freedom existent for non-Muslims in any of the Muslim countries of the world, why should any one support autonomy in J&K. Why the rest of the parts of J&K are taken for granted and left to be under the perpetual exploitation and threat of valley political hawks and political mafia. I use the word mafia because political groups in valley act like a mafia. They extort money from all over the world in the name of Islam. That is why they tell lies and provoke innocent people in the name of religion to blackmail the world in general and India in particular. The chronic disease which has engulfed politicians of all hues in Jammu and Kashmir is dishonesty and mass corruption. Congress views the situation with communal angle and thinks about the aspirations of the valley youth only. It must be mentioned that Congress government of Indira Gandhi signed an accord with Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and Sheikh won elections with absolute majority in J&K. This meant that people of J&K had more than upheld the said accord. After the death of Sheikh Sahib, the accord was buried with him and the demand for freedom, plebiscite and all other bogey was put into refresh mode with arms and terror backing this all. What is the guarantee that autonomy will resolve the current strife in valley? There will be no end to such voices of descent unless and until a resolve to integrate the state with the rest of the country is not sought in letter and spirit. People of entire Jammu and Kashmir cannot be made victim of few fanatic and gun wielding terrorists and religious bigots, who time and again try to keep the entire valley under siege of continuous violence through overt and covert means.

The basic problem is that we never allowed moderate Muslims to come up. Our constitution has thrown the community into the hands of fundamentalists by subjecting them to Islamic personnel laws, which are divine laws and are against the very concept of Secularism. Pundits were the first to be thrown to be thrown out and now are the turn of Sikhs. Day is not far off when non Islamic community in India will have to seek safe heaven for themselves
Inspite of all this that we have suffered at the hands of Islam,our own people still advocate for our return. Some of us even made their daughter and daughters-in law to apply for even class -3 posts in Kashmir. The apex committee for return has not still dissolved itself judging the present turmoil in Kashmir.The truth is before us and we strangely refuse to understand.
I am sure more and more people will shed the KAVACH OF FALSE PERCEPTIONS and come up with more realistic understanding and nationalist approaches in defeating the EVIL designs of ISLAMIC ONSLAUGHT.It is time to speak the Truth. Well written Mr. Shah.
