In most of the cases, victim is well known to the rapist; either she is a relative, friend, brother’s friend, tenant, landlord, a teacher etc. It’s very rare in the cases of kidnapping, rivalry, broken marriage, engagement etc.
The sexual relationship between a boy and girl, a man and a woman, a teacher and student, boss and her employee continues normally till both draw favours from each other but one fine day they have some issues over cash or kind, fairer sex takes the route of police station and accuses male of raping her. Police sources call the newspaper guys and in the media trial, a man is accused of rape.
Only recently, a case was reported by media that a teacher raped his student who he knew from her 7th standard. He reportedly helped her to get an admission in a professional course (B Ed) and even helped her to get a job. Later she has stayed with him in various hotels as well and one doesn’t believe that they were imparting teaching lessons there.
Not a surprise anymore, the parents of girl didn’t react or ask the girl when she travelled with the teacher to another town. They rather encouraged the girl to continue her actions with the teacher. Something bad took place between the two, may be man stopped doing the favours. Now the girl and the family are shamelessly crying foul.
We are not generalising the facts here but we can’t blame male always. The females are more responsible for such acts. Nothing can move without their consent and we won’t hesitate to write the fact that 99% of cases, it is sex with mutual consent and not rape as alleged.
Though there are some bad guys as well who do it forcibly as we have witnessed such cases of gang-rapes but not always.
