Contaminated water supplied to many areas in Gurgaon: Councillor
Not only the contaminated water, but people in Gurgaon's ward number 19 are also receiving insufficient water supply for past few months. This has been taking place after a water pipeline, laid few months back, started leaking at various joints.

As a result of the leakage, only 25% of drinking water supply reaches people in the area. It has also created issues of water lodging in the area. Councillor Mangat Ram Bagadi said: "I am, from last one year, requesting MCG officers to repair these leakages so that people can avail full supply of drinking water but no one is listening to me. I have also met Executive Engineer and Junior Engineer but they have also not taken any action. These officers are passing blame on each other. I am unable to understand their attitude and I am confused how these issues can be resolved.

He also informed because of this leakage all water contaminated with water from sewers is being supplied to areas like Laxman Vihar, Bhimgarh and Ashok Vihar. “Drinking this dirty and contaminated water is making people sick,” Bagadi told this citizen journalist . “People are suffering from diarrhoea and jaundice, even then MCG and public health department are not resolving this issue,” Bagadi added.

All pipe lines, laid after 15 August last year, according to Bagadi, have started leaking even because of which local people are complaining to him. “If these issues are not resolved very soon then we will protest outside the MCG office,” Bagadi warned.
