Controversy erupts as Virat Kohli meets girlfriend Anushka Sharma in the middle of the rain-hit match against Delhi
A TV channel is currently running a hot story involving objectionable behavior by captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli. It is important to highlight that Kohli had met his girlfriend Anushka Sharma in VIP gallery when the match against Delhi Daredevils got delayed due to rains yesterday.

In fact, the rain delay at Bangalore's Chinnaswamy Stadium gave Virat Kohli plenty of time to catch up with role of a boyfriend. Virat Kohli was pictured in a playful mood with Anushka, who is known to be a frequent visitor at Kohli's matches both at home and abroad.

Although, Kohli was not the only player who was seen in the VIP box, Delhi's Yuvraj Singh, who recently addressed Anushka as "Bhabhi" (sister-in-law), and Kohli's RCB teammate Dinesh Karthik were also present in the VIP box. This move of Kohli is being seen as a breach of anti corruption protocols.

Commenting on this, former cricketer and expert on NDTV penal, Dean Jones said, "The biggest cancer hitting cricket is illegal gambling. We try to stop communication between players and they are well aware of this. Virat made a mistake stepping out of the dressing room."

Already the game of cricket is fighting the menace of match-fixing and the image of IPL has been hit after the betting and spot-fixing scandal broke in 2013. Jones further said, "All that Virat had to do was say 'Sorry darling, I want to see you but there is a rain delay and I have to stay within the confines of the dressing room. How many times do we have to educate the players that they have to protect the integrity of the game that is your role. Players are the trustees of the game."

Royal Challengers Bangalore, by virtue of their luck, stormed into the playoffs after their concluding league match against Delhi Daredevils was abandoned midway due to heavy showers. Now RCB will play Rajasthan Royals in the IPL eliminator on May 20 in Pune.

Virat Kohli must learnt to respect the standard protocols and keep away from such controversies.
