Cookery book "Snacks and More" released in Jaipur
A cookery book "Snacks and More" was released on 18th December night at Jaipur's Ashoka Club. The book is authored by Late Kusum Pande who had been training girls in the art of cooking since 1970s. This is second book compiled from the notes and diaries of Pande auntie, as she was popularly known as.

At the book release event, the family members, friends and students were present and they talked high of their teacher who had been one of firsts to start cookery classes in Jaipur. The release was followed by a dinner with some of her recipes.

"Kusum Pande's first book was very well received. This book of her recipes is dedicated with love and gratitude to her memory by her family," said Hannu Pande, her eldest son, at the book release event.

The book having 70 odd pages has 50 recipes of snakes from various parts of India like uthapm, upma, corn pakoda, masala bati, dhokla, thepla and many more. Surprising is the inclusion of pizza in the book which Pande taught in those times which is popular meal and snack currently.

Each recipe described in the book has been described in two headings consisting of ingredients and method. The description of each recipe is accompanied by black and white photographs taken during 1970s and 1980s.

The book published by the Pande family was distributed free to the people present at the release. However, the limited prints of the book can be had from the family house whose address has been given in the book.
