Cops and corpses- what's wrong with Uttar Pradesh police?
CHRI lamented that the extreme insensitivity of such actions must shock every conscience. Not only have the police been inhumanely crude and disrespectful; their actions prove that they care little for rules and process.

THE COMMONWEALTH Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) has strongly condemned the incredibly reprehensible actions of the police personnel who is seen uncovering the face of an unclaimed dead body with his shoes in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.

Not so long ago in May this year another UP cop was seen turning a dead body of a man with his boot to show a bullet injury in Amroha district.

It lamented that the extreme insensitivity of such actions must shock every conscience. Not only have the police been inhumanly crude and disrespectful; their actions prove that they care little for rules and process, it added in a statement.

In doing so, CHRI blamed they are also disturbing the scene of crime by tossing and turning the body. This is not just a random act of impulse, the statement said.
