Corruption has entered our blood
The never ending corruption has very deeply entered into our blood and it may take generations together to get rid of it.

IT IS not a big surprise, when we come to know through the media about corruption in our country. Similarly a bureaucrat couple, both of them IAS, have been reported to possess unaccounted property worth over 280 Crores. It is the third case of corruption starting with a class IV peon cum store- keeper at Ujjain, who had amassed wealth worth 4.5 crores, followed by a junior engineer from Indore with assets worth over 10 crores in the form of movable/ immovable properties. It reflects the rampant nature of corruption prevailing in BJP governed state, Madhya Pradesh.

The combined official income of both these 1979 Batch officers used to be merely  Rs 2 lacs per month, while they used to pay 1 crore towards premium of insurance policies only. It’s just one of those examples reflecting their income and expenditure. The Income Tax raid committee is yet to complete their exercise in full, but, meanwhile they have assessed that the couple is required to pay Rs 140 crores as Income Tax Penalty.

One good step taken by the state government is that they have suspended the Joshi family on the basis of these raids, which has been reported by the Income Tax Department. The full bench committee will decide upon their fate later.

Now we have strong evidences to say that the Lokpal Bill or Hazare’s campaign will not reduce corruption cases in Babus and bureaucrats. India has a very rich history of corruption, which has entered our blood and it may take generations to get rid of it.
