If man is naturally born out with instincts of the sex, hunger and fewer other he must have to seek to get it fulfilled at any cost by hook or crook. Surely he has been doing for the fulfillment of these natural instincts for centuries. Power itself indeed a natural instinct, however social scientist may not agree with this theory but it is penetrated into his/her veins since his birth.
Social Service in the mirror of recent history:
Religion perhaps itself gave the concept of social services if one will peep into the human history so far. When a person thinks of any hindrance in his/her way, he will keep on trying to resolve it but when he/she gets disappointed in resolving it then he must seek another way of salvation from the miserable situation.
Poverty and other social evils are still alive in the world even though these can be varied from society to society. They have same taste everywhere but the people who are facing culturally are living in certain circles. In India or in other countries there might be poor people living but what is needed here to learn is the lesson from other countries to deal with the social evils.
The concept of social service is as old as human beings, however; it has changed the forms and ways of services is. In recent times social service has become the fashion for the people. No other mother Teresa can be here on the globe and none can match with her matchless life.
Poor people are actually source of income for those who have introduced the concept of social service by the non government organizations (NGOs). NGOs are indeed sweet poisons which have been gifted to the people who are craving for a single loaf of meal. In this era NGOs are only goods transporters, which work to give and take the hard material, however; NGOs are major actors if they properly follow the concept of social service.
I have been affiliated with NGOs since long time only to earn money in order to support my family, which have been left by my father while leaving this world some 9 years ago. I had thought to be a civil servant through the competitive examination of but it was dream for which I was roaming for more than five long years.
It was actually an illusion for me but I remained behind it blindly to catch the bird. It would be too long and boring for the readers to peep into my life as I am neither OSHO nor an intellectual whose words can redress the wounds of the wounded souls. Many a times I thought, whether I should pen down few lines on the topic I found for the rest of the world.
Presently I am working with an NGO to create social dynamism in rural areas of the Sindh a province of Pakistan. In the present time NGOs are “GOODS TRANSPORT” which is responsible to receive and send the goods from here to there and taking huge amount against provision of these services so for.
Here we are just taking an example of a doctor whose syringe makes a clear deference while injecting it into the veins of the patient.
A syringe reduces the pain of a patient but why social evils are still alive in human society? Why it has not been hit hard ti eliminate from earth. Both the questions are indeed a question for the international community whose funding have given the opportunity to NGOs to work for the poverty alleviation and for making a prosperous society.
A cursory glance inside the NGOs/CSOs:
NGOs have been gaining the ground within the society where poverty is flourished and it is a never ending journey of NGOs. Poverty is indeed a best tool to earn international as well as domestic funds and loyalty. NGOs are basically 2nd largest component of new state strategy to dump the political awareness of the masses within targeted areas of the state.
Frequent corruption has been recorded publicly by the so-called NGOs in Pakistan and nobody wants to disclose the ground realties behind the core program of this new state organ.
A number of CSOs, NGOs have been beating the drums of poverty alleviation but poverty is growing more and more to live long with the poorest of the poor people. Marches, rallies are nothing but an earning tool they are using while raising voice against prevailing social events within the society.
