Corruption, non-implementation of law causes terror
Terrorism is the biggest problem India is facing. If this challenge is not met head on, it will result in a disaster. To beat terrorists the government will have to change its policies, implement law and equip police with the latest technology.

TODAY, WE are unsafe. Live wherever you want, but it is unsafe and insecure. Why is this happening in India? What is the reason behind this?

People are worried they are not sure whether they will return home from office because of the fear of the terror bombs. What an embarrassing situation being a citizen of free India as this insecurity was was not felt even under the alien British rule.

What are reasons we are not safe under the present dispensation?

According to my view, the first reason responsible for this insecurity is the corruption that engulfs Indian society. By bribing some officials, terrorists can easily smuggle explosives to destroy the country. The corrupt officials forget that the same explosives could be used against their own kith and kin.
Secondly, a pertinent question is if Indian laws and regulations are sufficient to deter the terrorists.
The major problem is non-implementation of the laws, which coupled with poor police investigation lead to shoddy conviction rate. The police also works under caste and communal pressures and when political pressure is added, it becomes a heady cocktail for police failures.

There are demands for amendment in law and promulgation of specific anti-terror regulation such as POTA. But, what the people must understand is that it not law but it is the implementation, which is crucial for ensuring safety and security in the country.

Mercy can be shown towards Naxalites, as they want to overthrow the economic system but the terrorists are aiming to destroy the nation and thus deserve no mercy. Violent Naxalites can be reformed by absorbing them into the economic mainstream but it is difficult to do the same with proponents of terror.

The third reason behind the Indian insecurity is the concept of non-violence, which followed and practised in toto has lead to weak response against terror and violence. This principle has to change with times as the enemy, India faces today is not the one like Britishers, but a far sinister and dangerous than our imperial rulers.

Terrorism has to be crushed and ultras not fed in our jails but they should be neutralised at the earliest.

Another reason India has not been able to counter terror is the fact that security agencies are not equipped with high end technology. Indian police is still fighting high tech terrorism with outdated techniques and the ubiquitous ’Danda’ .

The question is that when the bomb explodes they are checking every inch of the city. Why this is not happening before the bombs explode?
Blaming the government all the time is not the right thing and does not give any results. So we should take responsibility and be prompt to give the information to the police. So that you can try to stop the bomb explosion. We are not defending these senseless explosions, rather we are accepting the explosions and surviving.

i, basically think that why terorism is increasing day by day is just because of delay and uninterseted investigation done by pol;ice officials just because of political pressure . this sholud not not be an attitude. As recently it took almost 6 hour for Maharahtra government to convey help msg to centre just becuse there was no one member who cn tke responsbility of such act.to agree for there help. Because each one cares o there seat not for the nation...terr can be curbed but we cant fully depend upon police nd government w need to take some action and we all need to deligent ...

Whatever written is correct but there is other side of story. We have to anlyse the probleb and know why people do such kind of heinous act. When there is any terrorist attack we start thinking in different direction and a hasty conclusion of blaming muslims as a whole. In Hindus also there are people who have radical leanings and as a Hindu we do not subscribe to their theory in Muslims also there are extremist groups, some of them terrorist who do not carry any syempathy with large group of muslims. Most of muslims do not want such terroist act and they condemn them also. This is India and here ground realities are totally different.her side that they are unsafe and treated like outsiders in their own country.India belongs to all . Whether they are Hindus , Muslims , christian or Sikhs. Being in majority we can not ask minority population to leave this country. They were born here. Please do not spread hatred message . By doing this we are only stenghening the hands of our enemies. For any country to develop peace atmosphere is needed. Our enemies do not want India to be a developed nation. We should concentrate more on poverty removal than such type of messages which can only cause divisions among communities. Try to spread the message of love and brotherhood. This is what India needs this moment. Sorry if you are hurt by my answer .
