Due to their carelessness and irregularities we have to again do that work and again do all digging on the road which is a waste of money and time of government and public," said Bagadi.
He said they again have to spend lakhs of rupees to lay down these pipes again in the right manner. He added that the way pipe line was laid down by MCG is so bad that there was a possibility that water will leaking in a few weeks, and will need to be repaired again.
As per him when he went to MCG officials with this complaint they simply passed the blame to other departments of the corporation.
During the work I alerted and informed them about the error in the work and told them that there is also a plan to widen this road and then we have to again break these pipes but they simply told me that we will see at that time and not to bother us any more," he added.
MCG officials, as per him, had avoided his warning and now they are again breaking all those pipes which are just some months old. The unplanned way of working has costed the corporation unnecessary expense, plus the misuse of public money is making councillors unhappy and furious. Councilors are asking for more power and authority so that they themselves can take care of their wards and don't have to depend on the MCG for every small work.
Even local people of ward 10 have complained to the councillor that even after MCG's promise of long life for these pipes, water started leaking out within a few months and then it affected roads. "As a local leader I will take care of my people and have a right to ask the corporation to lay down these pipes correctly to avoid further inconvenience to the people," observed Bagadi.
