Court direction ignored by HUDA authorities to make two lanes in front of Ambience Mall
Ambience mall, Gurgaon has been in news for quite some time now due to various issues. Now that the toll has been removed from there, other problems are coming to the fore. The highways authorities, ten days ago, had directed the HUDA authorities to make two separate roads- service and sector lanes. However, inspite of this directive, no work has been started by the authorities as of yet.
A written petition has been sent to the Highway authorities and proper steps are yet to be taken to resolve the issue. The petition stated, '' HUDA has shown no urgency in the matter that is of alarming concern for the daily commuter. Situation on the ground has not moved an inch and I doubt the intentions of the department.''

There is a second side to the same story. The land, which is required to make two separate lanes is yet to be transfered to HUDA. As was reported by the, a official said that they were yet to acquire the land as the land is with the Town Planning commission. He further added, ''We have asked for its transfer. We will take up the matter on Monday.''

The petition highlights problems such as encrochment outside the Ambience Mall, traffic problems and road blocks. It was in May that another petition was filed asking authorities to do something about the detour the commuters has to take, when they are travelling from Shankar Chowk to Ambience Mall. The Court had ordered HUDA authorities to take up the matter and install a by lane within 10 days, but no such development is seen.
