CPI (M) to observe month-long AOB formation day from May 7
Bakuri Venketaramana, the AOB spokesperson in hiding in a conversation with this scribe said that the CPI(M) will mark the tenth anniversary of the Andhra-Orissa Border Special Zonal Committee from May 7 to June 7.
SPEAKING FROM his hiding place, AOB spokesperson Bakuri Venketaramana alias Ganapati alias Prasad, said that the CPI(M) will be observing the 10th year formation of its Andhra-Orissa Border Special Zonal Committee from May 7 to June 7 to demonstrate that the party's influence in a tribal dominated under developed tribal.
Having believed three interlocutors and other two mediators for the first time in India without getting positive result we realised that it is a high time the government honours the agreement signed by the Interlocutors viz Professor Hare Gopal, Professor R. Someswar Rao and civil activists Dandapani Mohanty on behalf of the Maoists. Venkataramana further said that May 7 is most significant day in the Indian history as it was the birthday of Alluri Sita Rama Raju, the first young Indian revolutionary involved in Indian independence and he remains an inspiring symbol of resistance.
On August 22 1922, his tribal army initiated their struggle by raiding Chintapalli and Krishnadevipetta police stations and captured huge number of guns, bayonets and cartridges and swords and released their compatriot Veerayya Dora from jail.
The party decided to observe the birth day of Alluri Sita Rama Raju every year as the birth day of Guerrila Army to fight against the exploitation and to convert PLGA into PLA Naxal. The party also decided to adopt the path of Lalgarh, Kalinganagar, Narayanpatna to liberate Dondakaranya, Bihar and Jharkhand, the Naxal leader informed.
While talking to this author he demanded the government for implementation of all the 14 demands as agreed in the aftermath of the abduction of Malakangiri Collector R. Veenil Krishna. Bakuri Venkataramana had played a vital role in the abduction of collector.
Suspending all his busy engagements, the Naxal leader spoke at length under heavy security cover of his own. The state government itself should keep its credibility for the implementation of the 14 charter of demands within the period of 3 months from the date of signing the agreement that was on February 24 2011.

He was referred to as "Manyam Veerudu" (Hero of the Jungle) by the local tribals of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa. Alluri Sita Rama Raju was played an instrumental role in inspiring and uniting the different tribes of the area apart from training them in guerrilla war fare, which eventually proved to be a terror for the then ruling British Raj.
